life is the seasonIt means nothing to me to give, I love it too much. What I hate, is how much gifts mean. I wish I could give and give with no more response than, "thanks," "cool," "no thanks." No guilt, no premise of future gifting on either side and, most dreadfully, none of this absolute elation and endless chiding gab of gratitude that, to me, represents everything wrong. What a sick state of commerce we are in where 'free' is devoted to certain days or under certain conditions, or is only free to one of us.
